Do I stop where I'm at and see if any agents are interested in Vexed & Hexed?
Or do I keep going?
I've got a solid synopsis for the full story, in a shortened condensed version and a longer more detailed version. I have 10 pages of finished sample art, thumbnails for the first chapter and the accompanying 25 pages of script.
How much more are they going to want to see?
Should I pencil out the entire first chapter?
Or do I turn my detailed synopsis into thumbnails for every chapter?
Where should I devote my creative energy?
How far ahead of myself do I get?
With prose novels, the query stage comes after the whole thing has been written and when the story is ready for editing. Editing artwork in a sequential narrative is an extensive process which is why graphic novels are queried more like a proposal. It's a strange sort of limbo. My brain likes absolutes and tends to run towards "all or nothing" which is making the partially completed nature of this project uncomfortable. I guess it's a good form of exposure therapy for the OCD part of my brain that clings to completeness.
I have my initial project I could jump into and work towards self-publishing Good Game Anxiety...
If I don't pick a direction, I'm bound to start a new story!
